Do you like my poem?
Saturday, November 14th, 2009Winter
I remember the cold days and nights
I even remember reading by the firelight
I remember hanging the Christmas decorations
I remember waiting for the great Celebration
Hot cocoa by the fire
Happy dreams were inspired
“The Night Before Christmas” Grandpa did recite
As evening turned into twinkling night
I still remember us playing in the snow
Whether it was years ago or yesterday, I would never know
But I do know this: I loved the times we used to share
From Santa’s letters to our snowball fights, I’ve stored them all somewhere
And even now, although we have matured
Somewhere in your heart are those memories you’ve ignored
So open up your heart and soul, and take a look inside
Because I know that what you see will bring tears to your eyes
I’m 13. . .
